ABOUT US / Suzy Woods

Describe your services:

I am a traditionalist at heart and I offer Traditional Chinese Medicine and all its modalities. Acupuncture, which can help to put your body back into balance. Chinese medicine, to help accelerate the healing process. Cupping and Gua Sha, which both help to relieve the body’s muscle tensions as well as pull toxins out. Moxa, a burning herb that helps to tonify and warm the body. TuiNa, a style of Chinese massage.

I specialize in Gastrointestinal disorders, Fertility issues, stress and anxiety, pain and facial rejuvenation.

What are some benefits/results people see:

After a treatment my patients see a decrease in their pain. When there is pain or illness the body is out of balance and with the use of acupuncture your body can go back into balance therefore relieving the pain or illness. Once the patient leaves my office the healing continues with homework. Whether it is advice on foods to eat or stretches to do or breathing exercises, the healing doesn’t stop.

Describe a typical session and how someone might prepare for it:

A typical session consists of a conversation about what is going on with you, both physically and emotionally. The first visit is a very in depth intake followed by the acupuncture. Once the needles are in you will lay relaxed in a dim room feeling your Qi (body’s energy) moving about. It is good to wear loose clothes enabling me to get to acupuncture points if you can’t wear them to the facility there is a place to change into them. The complete body, mind, and spirit connections are addressed in order to start the path to wellness.

What makes you different/good at what you do:

Since I have had my own health struggles I can relate to my patients when they are ill and in pain. Through my own journey to eastern medicine and the healing it has brought me I have found that I need to share this with others and help them through their own journey to health. I also know my limitations and if we are at a stand still and need to go another direction I am the first one to suggest it. I listen; understand love and most of all respect my patients.

Describe your education/training:

I graduated Cum Laude from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. I have a Bachelors of Arts degree from Columbia College . I am CPR and First Aid Certified as well as Clean Needle Certified. I have been trained in the use of PowR Pens.

What is your fee range:

$75 to $125
