If you're having trouble getting pregnant, it can feel like you're all alone, but in actually one in ten couples seeks infertility treatment. At Vital Points Therapy, we can give you the holistic support you are looking for. Our Acupuncturist and Therapists have been successful in working with many couples in treating infertility.  Both men and women are treated with gentle acupuncture protocols and nutritional counseling. Treatment can take place along with IVF/IUI in conjunction with your physician, and unassisted with acupuncture and herb formulas to aid your body in conception.

Our Physical and Occupational Therapists are trained in manual techniques that can relieve the pain of adhesions, surgery, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and prolapsed uterus. Research shows that 60 to 90% of post surgical patients develop scars and adhesions. A history of infections, ruptured cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disorders can cause adhesions that interfere with the body’s ability to conceive. Manual Therapy has been shown to help with pelvic adhesions, unblock fallopian tubes, improve alignments, visceral motility, circulation of blood, lymph, and hormones, to restore function and improve chances of fertility.
Acupuncture has been reported to increase endorphins, the "feel good" brain chemicals. It has also been reported to improve success rates of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), by improving egg quality, regulating hormonal response, increasing the uterine lining, and decreasing the anxiety associated with fertility treatment.
